Country music is taking over downtown Detroit this weekend. The three-day, 31st annual WYCD Downtown Hoedown kicks into gear this afternoon, with dozens of bands slated to play on three stages, all in the shadow of Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. The festival continues Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2.
Uncle Kracker headlines the Friday lineup, which also includes Drake White, Ty Stone, American Idol‘s Tate Stevens, Parmalee, Maggie Rose, and Charlie Worsham.

Last year’s 30th anniversary festival featured Miranda Lambert (who performed solo and with the Pistol Annies), Dierks Bentley (his set included a moving tribute to his late father), Josh Gracin, Chris Young, Hunter Hayes, and Jana Kramer, among others.
